The region

Trois-Ponts is already the mountain! This municipal slogan perfectly characterizes the Tripontain landscape and makes it atypical of other Ardennes regions.

Taking its name from the 3 bridges which respectively span the Baleur, the Salm and the Amblève, this locality offers an incredible diversity of landscapes.

Characterized by a relief shaped by numerous rivers, the entity of Trois-Ponts invites you on a journey between 360° panoramas and paths far from the tumult of life.

Relief

This image of the Ardennes relief demonstrates the uniqueness of this region. Unlike the plateaus of the Hautes-Fagnes and the Baraque Fraiture site, the relief is cut by deep valleys and high peaks, which gives you this particularity and mountainous impression, unique in the Ardennes.

Summits

The region offers many all-round panoramas on peaks often over 550m above sea level. Trois-Ponts is also one of the highest municipalities in Belgium with its summit at 600 m. Little known and less frequented, it is nevertheless one of the highest at 20 km around. The latter is located just 5.5 km from the Val de Wanne, accessible on foot.
